Our
Story
Tim Moncur purchased the property in November 2014 with a dream of turning it into a horse-owners dream. As a father of four daughters, Tim was driven to fulfill their ultimate dream. The property was rented out for a couple of years while Tim was winding down other businesses. The property was old cane land with not one fence on it - just the old house.
Tim purchased a sawmill and decided to start Maroochy Tree Services to source logs. The crew would bring all the timber back and on weekends we would turn them all into posts and rails for our fencing. On any spare days off from the trees, the crew would work on the farm fencing.
Tim had a fencing business when he was young in Victoria, he also grew up on a potato farm in Thorpdale, Victoria, where he grew up with all sorts of animals, from cows to horses to sheep, etc.
In the last 18 months, we have really ramped it up. Fencing every weekend, getting the stables built, sand arena, jump arena, round yards... Safe to say these boys know what a Sunday is!
Here at Valley View, Tim's dream is to give people a memory that will be stuck in their minds forever with these animals. You never forget your first horse ride, creating a connection with an animal for the first time. Valley View Stables growth has not stopped, if only just fueled more to do more.
Valley View Stables keeps growing, pushing us to do even more. Our lessons are for beginners and anyone eager to enjoy riding again - age is no barrier. Our goal is simple: to bring smiles and make unforgettable memories for everyone who visits us. 🙌🏼
